When Tatihou Island opened to visitors in 1992, a reliable way was needed to transport guests both at high and low tide. A unique vessel was therefore inspired by the traditional shellfish barges of the Bay of Cancale.
In 2007, it was succeeded by Tatihou II, and in 2023 by the modern Tatihou III.
At high tide, the crossing between the piers of Tatihou Island and Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue takes just about five minutes.

Boats to Tatihou Island:
Daily until 1 Novembre, from 10:00 a.m., subject to availability.
Depending on visitor numbers, tides and weather conditions, additional crossings may be added or cancelled.
